Sales Development Representative (Appointment Setter)

Job Summary

Sales Development Representatives shall initiate discussions with targeted prospects that meet our buyer profiles with the intent to schedule and host discovery calls. Discovery calls are used to qualify the need for, interest in and ability to budget for services.

Responsibilities and Duties


  • Phone outreach to designated call file
  • Discovery call scheduling
  • Pre-discovery call research on contacts and company
  • Ensure that all contact details and needed information are verified and accurately documented In Salesforce
  • Host discovery call & qualify each lead/account
  • Document & record discovery calls through call reports
  • Create opportunity within Salesforce for all qualified leads/accounts
  • Hand off qualified opportunities to Inside Sales
  • Set proper expectations for the proposal meeting
  • Meet minimum KPIs established for activities, appointments scheduled & hosted, as well as opportunities created

Qualifications and Skills


  • Bachelor’s/College Degree or at least 2 years in College
  • At least 1 -2 years of direct work experience in Outbound Telemarketing, Appointment Setting or Telesales
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with CRMs
  • Ability to effectively communicate with any level of buyer/influencer
  • Responsible self-starter and over-achiever
  • Positive attitude and great organizational skills
  • Persistent drive and desire to succeed
